Thanks for the article! I've just started doing something similar with symfony.

I'm trying to get the .htaccess file trick to work.
The project is running on my windows testing server.
This is what I added

 RewriteCond C:/xampp/projects/listing/web/sites/%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_FILENAME} -f
 RewriteRule (.*) /sites/%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [L]

Mod_rewrite is enabled but no dice. Any ideas? I don't work with .htaccess a lot.

Hi:

 I'm trying to modify the default behavior of the save action, in order to pre-process user input before saving it into the database. Here is my generator.yml:

config:

     actions: ~
     fields:
       description: ~
       lastrun:

       display: [ description, enabled, lastrun, destinataries, _scheduling, _includedReports ]
     filter: 
       display: [ description, _enabled ]

       actions:
        _delete: ~
        _cancel: ~

I have a couple of problems:

1 - The cancel buttons renders as a link pointing to a route "/backend_dev.php/email/3/List_cancel" which doesn't exist.
2 - I can't seem to get a hold of the save action which gets triggered upon pressing the button.

Any ideas?? Thanks!

Chez moi j'avais mon lien "Annuler" qui pointait vers l'url "monapp//List_Cancel"... Problématique non ?

Ca venait du fait que l'action "cancel" (dans le generator.yml) n'est plus utilisée, mais c'est "list" à la place.

Hi Duendon, I've had the occasion to work on a project involving about everything you mentioned, so I now have a greater insight at that sort of things that I'm going to share, but I'm not sure yet when I'll find the time to do so (especially since I have my talk at sflive to prepare).

I think I'll try to work out smaller articles focusing on more detailed points soon after sflive (that is after june 12th)

You said in December 2008, that you were going to cover domain specific layouts and other areas in a future article - have you had time to consider this yet?
What would be the best way to have site/domain specific layouts and perhaps actions and action templates in some cases(over-riding) default if exist. Is it possible to use themes with your method to arrange the directory structure to have layouts, actions & views for each domain whilst still leveraging your methods here for the site config with Doctrine?
